Pune: Two Doctors Accused Of Molesting Female Doctor At Jumbo COVID Hospital

Shivajinagar, September 28, 2020: In a shocking incident, a female doctor working at the Jumbo COVID Hospital located at the College of Engineering Pune(COEP) ground has accused two male doctors of allegedly molesting her. A case has been registered against both the doctors at Shivajinagar police station.
According to the police officials, the two accused have been talking indecently to the victim from the past 15 days. They also harassed her and molested her.
She had lodged a complaint with the Jumbo facility administration, but no action was taken. Meanwhile, the duo threatened her for filing a complaint.
Fed up with the constant harassment, the woman doctor finally went to the Shivajinagar police station and lodged a complaint. The police have taken serious note of the complaint and filed a case against both the accused doctors for offence under section 354 (outraging modesty of woman) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Meanwhile, the private agency which is managing the jumbo facility has terminated contract of two male doctors and suspended the complainant. The agency said that she can join work after police investigation is over.
