Pune: Two Female Police Officers from Pimpri Chinchwad Honoured for Excellence in Maharashtra Police Shooting Competition

Pimpri Chinchwad, 18th February 2025: Two female police officers from the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate (PCPC) have been honoured by Commissioner of Police Vinoy Kumar Choubey for their outstanding performance in the Maharashtra Police Shooting Competition 2025 held from 14th to 16th February, at Balewadi Shooting Range and Shooting Range in Hadapsar, Pune.

Woman Police Constable Parveen Mehboob Pathan from the Chinchwad Traffic Division secured a gold medal in the 50-meter rifle shooting event, a silver medal in the 50-meter rifle prone position, and a bronze medal in the 300-meter rifle event category. Woman Police Constable Poonam Prasad Lande, stationed at Alandi Police Station, clinched a gold medal in the 10-meter air rifle event and a silver medal in the 50-meter category.

Both officers have been selected to represent Maharashtra at the upcoming All India Police Shooting Competition in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. CP Vinoy Kumar Choubey felicitated the achievers with bouquets during a ceremony attended by senior police officials, including Joint Commissioner of Police Dr Shashikant Mahavarkar, Additional Commissioner of Police Vasant Pardeshi, and Deputy Commissioners Sandeep Doiphode, Dr Shivaji Pawar, and Swapna Gore, Assistant Commissioner Rajendra Singh Gaur.
