Pune: Two Individuals Accused in Rs 27 Lakh Scam In Moshi

Moshi, 4th January 2024: A case of fraudulent land sale has come to light in Moshi, as a resident, Rupesh Vasudev Naikere (34), filed a complaint at the Bhosari MIDC Police Station (Pimpri Chinchwad police) on Wednesday. The alleged scam occurred between December 2021 and June 28, 2023.

The case has resulted in the registration of a complaint against two individuals, Manoj Sarayanath Roy (48) from Pimpri and Ashok Sakharam Taksal (41) from Moshi.

The accused reportedly convinced the complainant to exchange two flats in Moshi for Rs one crore. An initial amount of Rs 30 lakh was taken as earnest money, and a memorandum of understanding was signed. However, the accused failed to fulfil the purchase agreement. Despite the signed memorandum, the accused did not proceed with the land purchase as agreed upon. Subsequently, the complainant found himself owed Rs 27 lakh by the accused, who allegedly failed to return the money.

The MIDC Bhosari police are investigating the case further.
