Pune: Undri Gram Panchayat To Address Issues On Tuesday And Thursday

Undri, 26th December 2022: Residents can now get their tax-related issues solved at the Undri Gram Panchayat office every Tuesday and Friday between 11 am and 1 pm, according to a letter released today by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).

It was previously resolved by PMC to form a committee to address tax-related concerns in a meeting between Vijay Shivtare and PMC Commissioner Vikram Kumar on 15th December 2022. Every Tuesday and Thursday between 11 am and 1 pm, the committee will review the applications at the PMC tax office. It was decided that the main tax office would hear the tax-related concerns of the 11 combined villages in PMC. The issues of high tax bills, problems for property owners, and revisions to ready reckoner rates have been brought up by the locals.

The Undri Village Citizens Action Committee is protesting the unjustified levies PMC has been imposing on the populace since 20th December. On 25th December, the protesters met with Vijay Shivtare and urged him to open a locals-only office in Undri gramme Panchayat. The protesters pledged to halt their action only if their demands were satisfied.

The issues of inflated tax bills, problems for property owners, and revisions to ready reckoner rates have been brought up by the locals.
