Pune University And Annasaheb Magar College Organise Workshop For Skill Development

Pune, 15th December 2022: To develop skills among students, a camp was organized today (15th December) at Annasaheb Magar College, Pune, in association with Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune (SPPU), Department of Lifelong Learning & Extension and Vocational Course Department. In this, Professor Vilas Adhav, Director and Head of the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension, Senate Member and Head of the Department of Economics, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, guided the students on the importance of skill development.

 

He shared information about how important it is to develop various skills in the current age of competition. College Principal Dr Nitin Ghorpade guided the students saying, “If we are clear about what career we want to do in life then we can reach our goal sooner so we need to set our goal and develop skills in that regard.” Sandeep Tapkir Shivvyakhyate guided the students about the various forts of Shivaji Maharaj and their importance and introduced the various skills of Shivaji Maharaj.

 

The introduction of Chief Guests was done by Prof. D.B. Deshmukh. A total of 314 students of vocational courses attended the programme.

 

The program was moderated by Vice Principal Professor Anil Jagtap.

 

The lifelong Learning and Extension Program Coordinator of the college, Professor Sangeeta Deokar, thanked the participants. Professors of vocational courses were also present in the program. Among them, Professor Mhetre, Professor Waghmare, Professor Jarad, Professor Tamboli, Professor RD Deshmukh, Professor Wankhede, and Professor DB Jagtap were also present.

 

Lectures on Cyber security training, Mobile repairing and sale, TV and LED repairing training, career opportunities in Pathology Lab, and Career opportunities in commerce and Banking are organised in the workshop. Nilesh Sutar, Pratik Kumbhar, Dr Parveen Prasad, and Amol Thorat were the guest speakers for the workshop.
