Pune, November 3, 2020:The Savitribai Phule Pune University(SPPU) has sent out emails and SMS to thousands of final-year students who wished to re-appear for examination, as they faced technical issues during the test process. However, many students have claimed that despite submitting the exam successfully, such emails have been sent to them as well.

This has created chaos and confusion amongst the students as they are perplexed as to whether they should give re-examination or not.

A final year law studenty said, “SPPU has organized re-examination of those students who were unable to appear for that exam due to technical difficulties or other. But today, the University had sent a ‘re-exam of CPC subject’ message through mail & text to all the students, including those who had given the exam successfully. I’m also last year law student and facing the same issue. Many students are in this trouble now that whether we need to give re-exam or not? And why we give re-exam if we’ve already given & submitted the exam successfully?”

Punekarnews.in raised this issue with Mahesh Kakade, Director of Examination and evaluation, SPPU. “It is not required to give re-examination for students who have successfully submitted the test. These emails were sent to those who have submitted their grievances”, Kakade said.
