Pune, 31st May 2021: After receiving complaints from many students and parents besides some students’ organisations, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) on Monday instructed affiliated colleges to accept online examination forms without insisting on payment of the remaining academic fees.

In his letter, SPPU’s Board of Examination and Evaluation Director Dr Mahesh Kakade said that colleges must keep the interest of the students in mind.

“It is mandatory for the students to fill up the examination application form online as per the prevailing system at the college level. However, it is observed that the examination forms filled by the students online are not being sent to the university by the institute/college without payment of the remaining tuition fee. We are receiving complaints from some students’ organizations as well as from many students and parents. Students who are eligible for the examination should not be deprived of the examination due to financial and any other reasons,” Kakade stated in the letter.

The examination for the second semester this year will be held between June and July 2021.
