Pune University Hostels To Re-Open From February 21
Pune, 17th February 2022: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) hostels will be opened for the students pursuing their PhD and for students preparing for competitive examinations from Monday (21st February). Other hostels will also start with 50% capacity with the permission of the municipal commissioner.
The offline classes of the departments of the university have started along with the colleges. However, due to lack of accommodation, the students had to face many difficulties. The university has now taken a decision to help the students.
In a circular, SPPU registrar Prafulla Pawar stated, “The Covid situation is under control. Therefore, PhD and the hostels for students preparing for the competitive exams are being opened from Monday and all the guidelines for the student’s safety will be followed.”
