Pune University PhD Candidates Still Waiting For Admission
Pune, 28th December 2022: Despite clearing the entrance exam, some PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) candidates are still waiting for admission at the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). It has also been observed that no research guide has been appointed. Therefore, the university has given a deadline of 15th January to complete the admission of the candidates, and the students whose admission is pending have got relief.
All the students who have cleared the entrance exam and got concessions have already completed the admission process in all the recognized and affiliated research centres of the university. However, due to the complaints received by the university that the admission process of some students is still incomplete, the academic admission department of the university directed the research centres through a circular to complete the admission process immediately.
The research centre was recently administratively inspected by the university. Even after that, receiving such complaints is a serious matter. Before this PhD. Some admitted candidates should be assigned a Research Mentor immediately. Incomplete entries should be completed. After that, the new PhD. The university has also mentioned in the circular that the names of the members appointed by the university will be notified for admission to the course.
