546 Fire Incidents Reported In Pune In Three Years

Pune, 28th December 2022: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde informed the Legislative Assembly that there have been 13,000 incidents of fire in Pune city in the last six years and 546 incidents in the last three years. Shinde said that fire prevention measures are also underway in the city.

Hadapsar assembly constituency MLA Chetan Tupe, Vadgaon Sheri MLA Sunil Tingre, and Shirur MLA Advocate Ashok Pawar raised this question in the session of the Legislature.

In the last three years, 546 fire incidents have occurred in the city due to human errors such as short circuits, domestic gas leakage, burning lamps, and throwing away cigarette butts.

To reduce these incidents, fire prevention measures are being implemented in housing societies, schools, colleges, commercial complexes, hospitals, slums, industrial estates, and government offices from time to time municipal fire brigade. Actions will be taken to prevent fire and preventive measures to bring the fire under control are being shown to the citizens. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said this work is going on continuously by the fire brigade.
