Pune University Postpones Exams, Declares Holiday for its Departments and Affiliated Colleges on 22nd January

Pune, 20th January 2024: Considering the notification issued by the General Administration Department of the Government of Maharashtra, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has announced a holiday for all its departments and affiliated colleges in the state of Maharashtra. The circular, issued on 19th January by the university, states that all exams scheduled for 22nd January 2024 will be postponed. The new date will be announced soon, as mentioned in the circular.

The Director of the Exam Control Department has issued this circular to principals and directors of all affiliated colleges in Nashik, Ahmednagar, and Pune districts.

Several state governments have proclaimed a holiday for their employees to enable them to attend the Ram Mandir Inauguration ceremony at Ayodhya. The central government has also declared a half-day holiday for employees of institutions and organizations.

On January 22, a grand ceremony will mark the culmination of rituals, presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and attended by various VVIPs.
