Pune: Vadgaon Maval Police Raid Gambling Den, Arrest 9
Vadgaon Maval, 18th September 2023: A team of police officers led by Lonavala Subdivision Assistant Superintendent of Police Satyasai Karthik raided a gambling den in Vadgaon Maval on Saturday, September 17.
The raid was conducted at a tin shed adjacent to a veterinary clinic in Ambedkar Nagar, within the limits of Vadgaon Maval village. Nine people were arrested and gambling equipment and cash worth Rs.6,41,700 were seized.
The arrested persons have been identified as Dinesh Soudan Singh Chauhan, Rajesh Maruti Taras, Ankush Ashok Surwade, Nandkumar Khand Dhore, Avinash Balu Kajle, Rohit Ashok Dhore, Ajay Kailas Davne, Sagar Bhanudas Jambhale, and Gajanan Bhima Balshankar.
Legal action has been taken by Vadgaon Maval police station against the accused under the Maharashtra Gambling Prevention Act 1887.
