Pune: Varroc Vengsarkar Cricket Academy Announces “Varroc Cup” for Under 14 Boys
Chinchwad, 30th October 2023: PCMC’s Varroc Vengsarkar Cricket Academy continues its tradition of fostering young cricket talent by organizing the “Varroc Cup” cricket tournament for under 14 boys. The competition will take place from November 1 to November 10, 2023.
Six nominated teams will participate in the tournament, including the host Varroc Vengsarkar Academy, Cricket Next Academy, Aryan’s Cricket Academy, Poona Club, Deccan Gymkhana, and Trinity Cricket Academy.
The tournament format will feature league matches in two groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the final on November 10, 2023, which will be held at Thergaon.
The tournament’s inauguration is scheduled for November 01, 2023, at the Thergaon ground, where all matches will be played. Each match in the tournament will consist of 45 overs.
The tournament aims to recognize outstanding performances, with awards for the Man of the Match in each game, as well as titles for the Best Batsman, Bowler, Fielder, and Player of the Tournament. Trophies will also be presented to the runners-up and the championship-winning team.
The grand prize distribution ceremony will be conducted on November 10, 2023, with former Indian captain Dilip Vengsarkar presiding over the event.
