Pune: Vasantotsav heads to Europe; To be held first time in European cities including Berlin, Munich, Zurich and The Hague

Pune, 17th June 2022: Fans of Indian Classical Music in Europe will be in for a treat this year as the much celebrated Vasantotsav 2022, the annual Indian Classical music festival jointly organized by Vasantrao Deshpande Prathishthan and Faculty of Liberal Arts at MIT-WPU will be held for the first time in three European countries including Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands between June 18 and 26, 2022.

The specially curated concerts organized by renowned vocalist, Rahul Deshpande, the show will be held in Berlin, Germany on Saturday, June 18 followed by a concert in Munich on Sunday, June 19. On Saturday, June 25, a concert will be held in Zurich, Switzerland, which will be followed by a concert on Sunday, June 26 in The Hague, Netherlands.

Speaking about the event, Rahul Deshpande said, “After an amazing Maharashtra tour of Vasantotsav 2021-22, we are very excited to bring the festival to the audience in Europe.”

Deshpande will be accompanied by Nikhil Pathak (table), Milind Kulkarni (harmonium) and Prasad Joshi (pakhawaj).

The Co Organisers of the festival include Maharashtra Mandal Munich, Marathi Mitra Berlin, Hirsh Trendsetter Zurich, and Marathi Mandal Netherlands.
