Pune: Wagholi Residents To Protest Against PMC, PMRDA Due To Improper Roads And Water Supply

Pune, 18th January 2023: Wagholi residents have been suffering for years due to improper connecting roads and interrupted water supply despite paying crores. The residents have, hence, decided to protest peacefully against the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) on 20th January at 11 am at Bakori Phata. Starting at the PMC office in Wagholi, the protest will move towards the main offices of PMC and PMRDA.

Anil Kumar Mishra, Chairman of a society in Wagholi, stated, “Situations of the roads in Wagholi are so pathetic that people’s lives are in danger every moment walking nearby or driving on the roads since the roads are pathetic, narrow, and broken.”

“People in Wagholi are paying crores of rupees for drinking water, and no water is being supplied. Why?” he further questioned.
