Pune: Water Discharge From Panshet Dam To Start From Today

Pune 6th August 2023: As dams in the Khadakwasla cluster continue to report increase in the water levels, the Panshet Dam also filled upto 96% of its capacity following continuous rain reported in the catchment areas. Due to this, the authorities have started water discharge from the dam today.

 

According to the officials, 595.70 cusescs of water discharged will start from Panshet Dam from 7 pm today. The officials have also said that the discharge is further likely to be increased if rainfall continues in the catchment areas.

 

It may be noted that the collective water storage in the four dams of Khadakwasla cluster have reached 87.87% on Sunday compared to 72.70% reported last year on the same day. Khadakwasla dam is currently filled upto 92.61% of its capacity, storage in Warasgaon Dam was 86.53% and Temghar Dam is filled upto 67.82% of its capacity.
