Pune Weather: Orange Alert Issued; Citizens Urged to Stay Vigilant

Pune, 25th May 2025: Pre-monsoon showers have intensified across Maharashtra, with Pune witnessing continuous rainfall for the past four to five days. The persistent downpour has disrupted daily life and caused significant inconvenience to residents in various parts of the city and district, leading to traffic congestion and waterlogging.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an Orange Alert for Pune district today, warning of moderate rainfall at isolated locations over the next three to four hours. The alert also includes a possibility of thunderstorms, lightning, and strong gusty winds in some areas.

The district administration has urged citizens to remain indoors if possible, avoid waterlogged areas, and take necessary safety precautions.
