Pune: Woman Allegedly Molested by Friend After Being Dropped Home

Pisoli, 23rd May 2023: A woman was allegedly molested by a friend after another friend dropped her home on a motorcycle, leading to the accused becoming angry. The case includes allegations of defamation, as offensive photos were sent to the woman’s relatives via her mobile phone.

A 37-year-old woman from Pisoli has lodged a complaint at Kondhwa Police Station, resulting in the filing of an FIR against the accused.

According to the police, the accused is a friend of the complainant. On the 18th of May at 8 pm, the complainant arrived home in the vehicle of her college friend. Upon witnessing this, the accused became enraged and called the woman downstairs. He proceeded to molest her, verbally abusing her and behaving obscenely.

He seized her mobile phone and utilized it to defame her. Offensive photos of the woman with her college friend were sent to her brother and her cousin’s husband through Facebook and WhatsApp.

Police Inspector Bhosale is currently investigating the matter.
