Pune: Woman Arrested For Stealing On Pretext Of Housework; Jewellery Worth Rs 13 Lakh Seized

Pune, 19th August 2022: The crime branch has arrested a woman and her accomplice who were stealing money from a senior citizen’s house on the pretext of doing housework.

Gold ornaments worth Rs 12,75,000 were seized from them. Unit Two of the Crime Branch of Pune police has arrested the accused.

 

The names of the accused have been identified as Rekha Rahul Kshirsagar (30), a resident of Vanavadigaon, and Rishabh Vinod Jadhav, a resident of Ramtekdi. The accused had stolen jewellery from the house of a senior citizen in the Swargate area. A case was registered in this matter at Swargate Police Station.

 

The team of Unit Two of the Crime Branch received information that the two persons would be coming to the Nataraj Hotel area in the Swargate area. After that, a trap was laid and both were detained. During interrogation, both admitted to stealing jewellery from a senior citizen’s house.

Senior Inspector Kranti Kumar Patil, Assistant Inspector Vaishali Bhosle, Vishal Mohite, Sub-Inspector Rajendra Patole, Nitin Kamble, Ujwal Mokashi, Uttam Taru, Gajanan Sonune, Sadhana Tamhane and others conducted this operation.
