Pune: Woman Assaulted in Hadapsar Over Parking Dispute

Hadapsar, 15th February 2025: A 33-year-old woman and her husband were severely beaten in Hadapsar, Pune, following a dispute over a parked four-wheeler. The incident, which occurred yesterday evening, has resulted in a case being registered at Hadapsar Police Station.
Madhuri Nikhil Pawar, a resident of Manjari Budruk, filed a complaint against Tushar Zende, who lives in a nearby society. The altercation began when Zende reportedly questioned why a cab, which Pawar had booked to visit her mother, was parked on the road.
The situation escalated quickly, with Zende allegedly verbally abusing Pawar’s husband before physically assaulting him. When Pawar intervened, she was also attacked. Zende reportedly struck her with his helmet and threw a stone at her, causing an injury to her left eye.
Despite the severity of the incident, the police have not yet taken Zende into custody. Pawar expressed dissatisfaction with the police response, stating that she had to remain at the station until midnight and that the accused was allowed to leave at 10 pm.
Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Mogale, in charge of Hadapsar Police Station, stated that the complainant had been advised to seek medical treatment. He added that the accused would be taken into custody and interrogated after receiving the medical examination report.
