Pune : Woman Booked For Abusing And Manhandling PMC’s Assistant Anti-Encroachment Inspector During Drive In Hadapsar
Hadapsar 22nd Sept 2023: An Assistant Anti-Encroachment Officer of the Pune Municipal Corporation was abused and manhandled by a woman during a drive in Hadapsar area on Thursday, The officer has lodged a complaint against the woman at Hadapsar Police Station.
According to police, the accused woman had set up an illegal stall at the road to sell flowers. The officer and his team during a drive first asked her to remove the stall to which the woman refused and asked the encroachment officials to get away from the spot. She further abused the staff present at the spot and as the assistant inspector of the anti-encroachment department tried to remove the encroachment on his own the woman manhandled and abused him.
A case under section 353, 323 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Hadapsar Police Station against a woman following a complaint by the 31-year-old officer of the Pune Municipal Corporation. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
