Pune: Woman Dies After Attack by Colleague At WNS in Viman Nagar

Viman Nagar, 7th January 2025: A 28-year-old woman, Shubhada Shankar Kodare, employed at the WNS Global Services in Viman Nagar, succumbed to injuries after being attacked by her colleague, Krishna Satyanarayan Kanoja, also 28, in the parking lot of the office building. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. following a dispute over a financial matter, informed Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Shelke of Yerawada Police Station.
Shubhada, a resident of Balaji Nagar, Katraj, was assaulted by Kanoja, who resides in Khairewadi, Shivajinagar. Both worked at the same company. The altercation escalated into a violent attack, leaving Shubhada critically injured. She was rushed to Sahyadri Hospital in Yerawada but passed away during treatment.
Speaking about the incident, Inspector Shelke added, “The dispute was reportedly over money that had been borrowed. The accused, Krishna Kanoja, was immediately taken into custody, and a case has been registered under BNS and the Arms Act.”
The case was registered based on a complaint by the victim’s younger sister, Sadhana Shankar Kodare, 26.
