Pune: Woman Employer Set On Fire By Dismissed Employee, Both Die During Treatment

Vadgaonsheri, 26th April 2022: In a shocking incident, a dismissed employee poured petrol on his employer, a ladies tailor, and set her on fire. In the melee he also sustained burn injuries. Both of them succumbed to their injuries today.

According to Pune city police, the incident took place at around 11 pm on Monday. The woman running the shop was seriously injured in the incident. The accused also sustained serious injuries while trying to burn the woman. He died at midnight while undergoing treatment at the hospital. The woman died at around 11.30 am this morning. A friend of the accused who rushed to the rescue of the woman was also seriously injured.

Chandannagar police station has registered a case of murder against the accused. The deceased have been identified as Bala Noya Jorny (32), a native of Odisha, and Milind Govindrao Nathsagar (35).

According to police, Bala used to run A to Z Ladies Tailor shop near Ramchandra Sabhagruha in Somnathnagar area of Vadgaonsheri. She had fired Nathsagar from job.

He had reached the shop on Monday night and poured petrol on the woman out of anger over her dismissal. The shop had also caught fire. However, before the fire brigade arrived at the spot, the local residents had doused the fire. They had rushed the three injured persons to hospital.

Nathsagar who had sustained 90% burn injuries died around midnight, while Bala who had also got 90% burn injuries died today. Nathsagar’s accomplice has sustained 35% burn injuries and he is undergoing treatment.
