Katraj, 7th September 2021: A 56-year-old woman fell from the gallery on the eighth floor of a building while drying clothes and died in Jambhulwadi on Tuesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Pitradevi Hariji Singh, a resident of Lakewood Society, Jambulwadi. A case of accidental death (AD) has been registered at Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station under Pune city police.
According to police, Pitradevi was living on the eighth floor with her daughter-in-law. Her son lives in Mumbai as her husband is undergoing treatment in Mumbai.
Around 7.30 am today, Pitradevi was drying clothes while standing on a stool in the gallery. She fell off the stool and fell straight down. She succumbed to injuries on the spot.
