Pune: Woman Found Dead in Phursungi Home, Husband Discovers Body Inside Bed

Phursungi, 9th November 2024: A woman was found dead at her residence while her husband was away. The deceased has been identified as Swapnali Umesh Pawar, a resident of Phursungi.

The Pune Police Control Room received information that a woman had been found unconscious in her bed. Accordingly, Police Officer Vinod Pawar, Assistant Police Inspector Jadhav, and Police Sub-Inspector Khandare reached the location.

The woman’s husband, Umesh Pawar, 36, a resident of Solapur and an Uber driver, was questioned. He reported leaving home on 8th November at 5 AM for a trip. When he returned later that night, he found the house locked from the outside. After entering, Umesh initially could not locate his wife and began searching for her in the Hadapsar area on his motorcycle.

Upon checking their valuables, including jewellery, money, and his wife’s mobile phone, he found nothing disturbed. While inspecting the bed for household jewellery, Umesh discovered his wife lying unconscious inside. He immediately contacted the police control room.

Senior Police Inspector Mangal Modhave of Phursungi Police Station is leading the investigation.
