Pune: Woman Killed in Two-Wheeler Accident, Husband Injured In Kondhwa
Kondhwa, 18th November 2024: A two-wheeler accident in the Tilekar Nagar area of Kondhwa claimed the life of a 46-year-old woman and left her husband injured. The incident occurred on 12th November.
The deceased has been identified as Punitadevi Vijayakumar Singh, a resident of Venkatesh Galaxy Apartment in Kamthe Patilnagar, Kondhwa. Her husband, Vijayakumar Shivmangal Singh, 53, sustained injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
According to police reports, the couple was traveling through Tilekar Nagar on a two-wheeler when the bike skidded due to sudden braking. Both were thrown off the vehicle, and Punitadevi, who was riding pillion, suffered a fatal head injury.
The couple was immediately rushed to Sassoon General Hospital by local authorities. Sadly, Punitadevi succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
A case has been registered against Vijayakumar, who was driving the two-wheeler, following a complaint by police constable Bipin Suryavanshi. The investigation is being conducted by Police Sub-Inspector Pooja Patil from Kondhwa Police Station.
