Pune: Woman Kills Live-In Partner, Both Prepared For Competitive Exams
Hadapsar, 8th September 2021: In a shocking incident, a woman strangled her live-in partner to death in a fit of rage after an argument. She had initially informed the police and relatives of the deceased that he died of natural causes. However, the post-mortem report nailed her lie.
The deceased has been identified as Sonal Purushottam Dabhade. A murder case has been registered at Hadapsar police station against Rohini Ramdas Yunate (24). Both lived in a rented accommodation in Hind Colony area of Bhekrai Nagar for the last three years.
According to police, both of them had gotten acquainted while preparing for the competitive exams. They got into a live-in relationship. However, there were frequent arguments between them.
On August 29, during an argument, Rohini pushed Sonal and he fell down. Later Rohini allegedly strangled him to death. However, she told the police and his relatives that he had died of natural causes.
Police had registered a case of accidental death (AD) pending investigation. The body was sent for post mortem at Sassoon hospital. The medical report mentioned that he was killed following which Rohini has been arrested. Now a case of murder has been registered against her.
