Katraj, 6th September 2021: A 28-year-old woman police constable, who was recently transferred to Daund police station under Pune rural police, was found hanging from a hook at her Dhankawadi residence on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Pooja Dattatraya Kamble (29) of Dhankawadi.
According to police, Pooja lived with her family. After celebrating birthday of infant child, she had gone to room on the second floor of the house around 10 pm on Sunday. When she did not open the door till late, her husband broke open the door and found her hanging. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
The body was then taken to Sassoon Hospital for autopsy. A case of accidental death (AD) pending investigation has been registered at the Sahakarnagar police station. Police officials said that the reason behind her extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
