Pune: Woman Raped By Her Tinder Date On Pretext Of Marriage
Pune, 14th December 2022: After a meeting on the dating app Tinder, a young woman was raped by luring her into marriage.
The accused cheated the young woman by taking loans from different banks in her name. It has also come to light that the young woman was asked for ransom by threatening to make the video of the act public.
A case has been registered at the airport police station following the complaint of the victim. Based on a complaint from the 37-year-old woman, police have registered FIR against the 38-year-old accused who is a resident of Vimannagar.
According to police, in 2018, the complainant and the accused met through the dating app, Tinder. After that, the accused lured the complainant into marriage and had physical relations with her from time to time. The accused also had an unnatural relationship with the complainant against her will. The accused has taken loans from various banks in the name of the complainant.
The complaint states that the accused demanded extortion of Rs four lakh to keep intimate videos personal. The airport police have registered a case in this matter. Further investigation is underway.
