Pune: Woman Returning From Work Kidnapped And Raped In Kharadi

Vishrantwadi, January 1, 2021: A young woman working in a call center in Kharadi area was chased and stopped on the road at Tingrenagar and forcibly taken to Kharadi and raped, police said.

The shocking incident happened between 3 am to 4 am on Thursday. A case has been registered in this regard at Vishrantwadi police station. The 20-year-old girl from Dhanori area has lodged a complaint.

According to police, the victim works in a call center in Kharadi area. She was coming home to Dhanori on a two-wheeler around 3 am on Thursday. The accused started chasing her and stopped her in Tingrenagar area. He then beat her and put her on his bike.

The girl was taken to an isolated place in Kharadi area. At that place, the accused raped the girl. The accused then brought her to Gunjan Chowk area and released her.

She informed her friend about the incident. They lodged a complaint at Vishrantwadi police station. A case of kidnapping, rape and assault has been registered at Vishratwadi police station.
