Pune: Woman Software Engineer Shot Dead In Hinjawadi, Man From UP Caught With Pistol

Hinjawadi, 28th January 2024: Vandana Dwivedi, a young software engineer employed at Infosys, was shot dead in an Oyo Hotel located in Hinjawadi, Pune.

The accused, identified as Rishabh Nigam, hailing from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, reportedly carried out the heinous act and subsequently fled to Mumbai. However, swift action by the Mumbai police led to his arrest during checking, where he was found in possession of a pistol.

The preliminary investigation into this harrowing incident has revealed that the motive behind the murder was rooted in a love affair.
