Pune: Woman Takes Extreme Step After Husband’s Harassment Over Money, Case Registered Against Five Individuals
Wagholi, 16th July 2023: A tragic incident unfolded as a woman took her own life by hanging herself after enduring relentless harassment from her husband, who demanded that she bring six lakh rupees from her parents.
The case has led to the registration of a complaint against five individuals, including the husband. The deceased woman has been identified as Geeta Ramesh Jadhav, aged 34, currently residing in Bhavdi, in Haveli taluka of Pune district, with her native residence in Partur in Jalna district.
Geeta and Ramesh Jadhav have two children. Over the past several months, Ramesh had been pressuring Geeta to obtain six lakh rupees from her parents to purchase a motorcycle and a seat. Unable to fulfill this demand, Geeta faced ongoing harassment from her husband.
Fed up by the continuous torture, Geeta tragically took her own life by hanging herself. The investigation into this case is being conducted by Assistant Police Inspector SY Rajguru.
