The woman, Suhasini Chandrakant Dhotre, had travelled to the Gaadital area in Yerawada around 1 PM on Monday for banking-related work. She had taken an auto-rickshaw to the location. However, after completing her work, she realized around 1:30 PM that she had accidentally left her purse in the rickshaw.

The purse contained a gold chain and cash, together valued at ₹1,09,000. In a state of panic, Dhotre rushed to the Yerawada Police Station and filed a complaint. All the valuables, including the gold chain and cash, were found intact and were returned to Dhotre. “This was a great example of coordinated effort and timely response. We’re happy to have returned the belongings safely,” said Inspector Shelke.
