Women’s Roza Iftar Gathering Held in Bhavani Peth Ahead of Women’s Day

Bhavani Peth, 7th March 2026: On the eve of International Women’s Day, a special Roza Iftar gathering was organised for women from the Muslim community in the Kashiwadi area of Bhavani Peth.

The event was initiated by Indira Avinash Bagwe and jointly organised by Mukta Foundation and Krantiveer Lahuji Vastad Salve Ekta Pratishthan.
The programme aimed to promote awareness about education and health while encouraging national unity, communal harmony and social cohesion among women from the Muslim community. The gathering received a positive response, with many women from the locality participating.

Those present on the occasion included Mukta Foundation President Indira Avinash Bagwe, Secretary Farzana Khan, women police personnel Rani Jadhav, Havaldar Rani Raut and Constable Aarti Gaikwad, along with Secretary Manisha Kshirsagar and Dilshad Zuber Shaikh. Members of the organisation, including Jyoti Adagle, Priyanka Bhonde and Malan Kasbe, as well as several local women, also attended the event.
Organisers said that the Iftar gathering has been held for the past three years with the objective of encouraging dialogue, friendship and unity among women.

Through Mukta Foundation, Indira Bagwe has also been working on initiatives aimed at creating employment opportunities for women from different communities by promoting small-scale businesses and self-employment.

Participants expressed appreciation for the initiative and marked the occasion by celebrating the spirit of unity and empowerment ahead of International Women’s Day.
