Pune: Young Man And Young Woman Die By Suicide Simultaneously By Hanging Themselves
Katraj, 26th December 2022: A shocking incident of simultaneous suicide of a young man and a young woman in a house has taken place in the Santoshnagar area of Katraj. The suicide victims have been identified as Raju Sheikh (31) and Barkha Mandal (33). The cause of both suicides is still unclear.
According to the information given by the police, Barkha and Raju are natives of West Bengal. A few days ago, they had shifted to the Katraj area. They had taken a room on rent in Santoshnagar. It has come to light that Barkha and Raju died by suicide by hanging on Sunday (25th December). Raju hung himself from the fan in the hall, while Barkha died by suicide by hanging from the fan in the bedroom.
After the nearby residents noticed this, they informed the police about the incident. No suicide note was found in the house in connection with this incident. A case of sudden death has been registered at Bharti Vidyapeeth police station late at night. Further investigation is underway by the police.
