Pune : Youth Brutally Murdered Outside Mangala Theatre, Nine Booked

Pune 16th August 2023: A 26-year-old youth was brutally attacked by criminals outside Mangala theatre in Shivajinagar following an old dispute on the intervening night of August 15 and 16. The youth who sustained serious injuries in the attack was declared dead by the doctors. The incident took place at around 1:10 am on Wednesday, said police.

According to police, the deceased identified as Nitin Mhaske had gone to watch Gadar 2 movie at the theatre and he was returning home at the time of incident. As he came out of the theatre the accused started attacking him using sword, iron rod, sticks etc in which he was seriously injured.

According to reports, Mhaske and his group had attacked one of the accused in the case after which a case of attempt to murder was registered against him. A case in this regard has been registered at Shivajinagar Police Station under sections 302, 141, 142, 143, 144, 145, 147, 148 and 149 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with sections 4 and 25 of the Indian Arms Act and sections 37 (1) (3) and 35 of the Maharashtra Police Act.

Nine accused identified as Sagar Kolanatti alias Yellya (33), Malik Kolya alias Tundya (24), Imran Shaikh (32), Pandit Kamble (27), Vivek Navghar alias Bhola (24), Lawrence Pille (33), Sushil Suryavanshi (30), Baba Awale (25) and Akash Gaikwad (24) all residents of Tadiwala Road have been booked in the case.
