Highest Ever Ridership Of Pune Metro Recorded On August 15, Over 1.23 Lakh Passengers Used The Service
Pune 16th August 2023: The Pune Metro on the occasion of Independence Day created another record of ridership in a day as the highest number of commuters used the service on August 15. According to metro officials, 1,23,720 passengers travelled on all routes of Pune Metro on Tuesday. This was the highest ridership recorded since the launch of Pune Metro service last year.
According to the officials, a total of 61,834 passengers travelled on the Pimpri Chinchwad – Civil Court Metro Station route while 61,886 passengers travelled on Ruby Hall Clinic – Vanaz Metro Station route. Earlier the highest ridership was recorded on August 6 when 96,498 passengers had used the service.
It may be noted that the extended route of Pune Metro was launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently during his visit to the city. The PM had inaugurated Ruby Hall Clinic to Civil Court Station and Phygewadi to Civil Court Metro station routes during his visit.
