Pune: Youth Died By Suicide Due To Threats From Loan App Officials
Pune, 20th September 2022: A 25-year-old man from the Vimannagar area has died by suicide. It has been revealed that he was facing difficulties returning the loan borrowed from an app.
The deceased has been identified as Sohail Sheikh (25), a resident of the Madina Masjid area, Vimannagar. Sheikh’s father, Javed Abdul Shaikh (48) has filed a complaint at the airport police station.
Sohail Sheikh had taken a loan through a loan app. For not repaying the loan on time, the employees of the loan app started threatening Sohail. Sohail’s father, Javed said in the complaint that he died by suicide after being threatened and abused.
A case has been registered against the employees of the Loan App. Assistant Police Inspector N S Lahane is investigating the case.
