Pune: Youth Hurts Self With Knife When Girl Does Not Respond To His Proposal
Pune, February 13, 2021: A 21-year old youth hurt himself with a knife by engraving ‘I love you’ on his arm with it when a girl did not respond to his proposal.
The incident took place at the Mantle Corner bus stand in Yerwada. Ismail Riaz Sheikh (21), a resident of Rajiv Gandhi Nagar in Yerwada, has been arrested by the Yerwada police station in this regard. An 18-year-old girl has filed a complaint in this regard. A case of molestation has been registered accordingly.
According to the police, the complainant and the accused live in the same area. The girl is studying in college, while the accused is not working. The accused was always chasing the girl and harassing her. On Thursday morning, when the young woman was waiting for a bus at a bus stop to go to college, the accused professed his feeling to her and said that he loves her. When the complainant did not respond, he hurt himself with a knife.
Police Sub-Inspector Thakur is investigating the matter further.
