Under-19 Cricket Tournament: Combined Districts Win First-Ever Match Played At Dapoli
Pune, February 13, 2021: Combined Districts won the first-ever match at the Royal Goldfield’s Cricket ground at Dapoli in Ratnagiri district scoring a 37 win over Ambitious Cricket Academy
Combined Districts won their third league encounters on a trot at the Third Edition of the “PYC-Goldfieldd Late Raju Bhalekar Trophy” Invitation Under-19 Cricket Tournament organized by the PYC Hindu Gymkhana and played on Poona Club and Royal Goldfieldd Sports Club, Dapoli grounds.
In other matches, Deccan Gymkhana edged out 22 Yards club by 2 wickets. A 5th wicket partnership of 42runs in 63 balls between Yash Boramani 82runs) and Rudraj Ghosale(18runs) powered the team to 191 runs for the loss of wickets chasing 189 runs set by 22 yards.
At Dapoli which made its debut as a venue, Combined Districts started badly losing 2 wickets in 2 balls in the opening over by Jesal Pate of Ambitious Cricket club. But a 3rd wicket partnership of 154 runs in 174balls between Abhishek Pawar(132runs) and Kiran Chormale(56runs) steadied the Team as they put on 232 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.
In reply Ambitious Cricket Club could score only 195 runs for the loss of 9 wickets going down by 37 runs Khistij Patil claimed 3 wickets for 24 runs for combined districts
Earlier the Goldfieldd Cricket ground which witnessed a first-ever recognised cricket match was inaugurated by Anil Chajjed, Sachin Sundar of Goldfieldd Properties and Vinayak Dravid Cricket Secretary of PYC Hindu Gymkhana.
