Pune: Youth Strangled to Death Over Love Affair in Pimpri Chinchwad; Nine Arrested

Pimpri, 30th August 2025: In a shocking incident at Pimple Gurav, a young man was brutally assaulted and strangled to death after being lured to a house under the pretext of discussing a love affair. The Sangvi police have arrested nine individuals, while two others have been booked in connection with the crime.

According to police officials, the deceased youth was reportedly in a relationship with the daughter of one of the accused. On Friday, the accused allegedly called the victim and his father to their residence at Pimple Gurav, citing the matter of the relationship.

Once inside, the accused shut the room door and began beating the youth. He was attacked on sensitive parts of his body and struck on the head with a belt. The assailants later used a rope to strangle him. The youth sustained severe injuries and, despite being rushed for medical treatment, succumbed to his injuries.

The Sangvi police have launched a detailed investigation into the case, while further legal proceedings are underway.
