Pune, 12th February 2022: Today Pune Zila Parishad (ZP) held yet another ‘call-in program’ where citizens and Pune ZP employees could call to express their grievances. The ZP president, vice president, chief executive officer and all heads of department were present to attend to the grievances of citizens.

“In the last call in the program to register grievances, we had resolved 88.40% of the grievances. This time we only received 77 calls, among which one person complained about four different issues. The most common grievance was about compassionate employment in Pune ZP. Some people wanted to seek information or resolve any doubts about programs and schemes”, said ZP CEO Ayush Prasad.

The Government of Maharashtra has a cascading grievance redressal day called the Lok Shahi Diwas. During the Covid lockdown and the subsequent strike of the state transport buses, Pune Zila Parishad has held several such call-in programmes to facilitate persons living in rural areas to access top officers and public representatives serving at the Pune Zila Parishad.

“We already have an online system to register complaints and grievances through the Aple Sarkar Seva portal. Since we had received very few calls, we decided to call ZP members to seek their guidance and get information about issues being faced in their constituencies. Excluding the six office bearers (Padadhikari), attempts were made to contact 65 members. 47 among them answered their calls. Most Members have expressed their satisfaction with the work being done at Pune Zila Parishad”, CEO Prasad further informed.
