Punekars to relive the musical era of Arun Date through ‘Nava Shukratara’
Pune, May 2, 2019 : Late Singer Arun Date is one of the legends in the melodious tradition of Maharashtriyan music, especially for his soft and emotion filled songs known as Bhaav Geet in Marathi. Marking the first death anniversary of Arun Date, Arun Date Kala Academy along with Rohan Pate have organized an event ‘Nava Shukratara’, featuring the most loved songs of Arun Date along with sharing memories about him.The programme is organized in Pune on Saturday, May 4, 2019 and it will be held at Yashwantrao Chavan Auditorium, Kothrud at 5.30pm. The entry to the programme is free and open for all.
Many songs like ‘Shukratara Mand Wara’, ‘Ya Janmavar, Ya Jaganyavar’ gained immense popularity for the unforgettable music and Arun Date’s soft and enchanting voice. The acclaimed artist passed away an year ago. Now his son Atul Date will pay tribute to him by sharing some of his memories along with some renowned singers presenting Arun Date’s songs. Mandar Apte, Singer and music Composer, Priyanka Barve, Singer and Actress, Rajeev Barve, Singer will be performing Date’s popular songs. The program will be anchored by Actress Anushree Phadnis. Sangeeta Barve will also read some Poetry during the program.
