Pune, 18th August 2026: Nine-year-old Pune shuttler Keyara Sakhare delivered a standout performance at the Yonex Sunrise 2nd Maharashtra State Sub-Junior Selection Badminton Tournament 2026 in Amravati, winning both the Girls Singles Under-11 and Girls Doubles Under-11 titles.

In the Girls Singles U-11 final, Keyara faced top seed Risha Kadian of Raigad in a closely contested encounter. Displaying composure under pressure, Keyara won the final 18-16, 15-13 to claim the singles championship.

Keyara continued her winning run in the Girls Doubles U-11 event, partnering Krishna Goyal of Palghar. The duo displayed strong coordination and an attacking approach to secure the doubles title, completing Keyara’s double-crown achievement at the tournament.

The Amravati triumph adds to Keyara’s consistent performances at the state level. At the Yonex Sunrise 1st Maharashtra State Sub-Junior Selection Badminton Tournament 2026 in Mumbai, she had finished runner-up in Girls Singles U-11 while winning the Girls Doubles U-11 title.

Keyara trains under coach Vishal Anand at Voltric Shuttlers Academy. Her latest double-title victory marks another significant milestone in her young badminton career and highlights her growing presence in Maharashtra’s junior badminton circuit.
