Pune’s Equilife Homes Celebrate Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti with Enthusiasm

Pune, 20th February 2025: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour at Equilife Homes Housing Society in Mhalunge near Balewadi. The event saw a large turnout of residents from the society participating in the festivities.

The celebration began with women melodiously singing the traditional “palna” (cradle song) dedicated to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. A highlight of the event was a captivating dance performance depicting the coronation ceremony of Shivaji Maharaj, featuring over 40 children. Young children dressed as Shivaji Maharaj and his Mavala soldiers added to the festive atmosphere.

Baburao Chandere, former a corporator from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), graced the occasion as the chief guest. Other notable attendees included Samir Chandere, Manoj Padale, and Samir Kolekar, who enhanced the event’s prestige with their presence.

Baburao Appa Chandore performed the aarti of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, creating a devotional ambience. The event was organized by Aniruddha Kale, Abhijeet Sali, Abhijeet Chougule, Akash Birajadar, and Shubham Babhare. Concluding the festivities, Vinod Kone of Vijay Caterers arranged for the distribution of “maha prasad” to all the attendees.
