Viman Nagar, 3rd February 2024: The Pune Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has confiscated counterfeit documents and stamps from an establishment situated within Viman Nagar’s Phoenix Mall. The operation targeted an office believed to be associated with the ‘My College Khoj’ scheme, which is accused of defrauding numerous students.

Initial investigations suggest that a couple had orchestrated an elaborate racket from the ‘My College Khoj’ office over the past few months. Allegedly, the couple swindled substantial sums of money from students by offering enticing overseas job opportunities.

Upon executing a raid at the office on Friday, February 2, law enforcement found the couple to be missing. Nevertheless, the police successfully apprehended the office manager and another staff member during the operation.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (EOW) Vikrant Deshmukh disclosed that the accused individuals enticed students with false promises, ultimately extracting money from them. Presently, five students have lodged complaints against the couple, forming the basis of the ongoing investigation.

The Vimantal Police station is actively conducting a comprehensive inquiry into the matter.
