Purandar Airport At New Place?

Pune, December 10, 2020: Although it was decided that the proposed international airport will be constructed at Purandar taluka, it has yet to get the official nod and thus in a meeting held recently in Delhi, directives were received to find the alternate places for the proposed airport.

The proposed airport required 2,832 hectares of land. All the required permissions from Defence authorities and Centre have been acquired. The spot too was decided but now it is learnt that another place which is 10 kms away from the proposed plot will be considered for the airport, officials familiar with the development said.
