Qualifier Bhansali creates first upset at Vijendra Kulkarni Memorial -Fergusson College All India CS Series Ranking U-16 Tennis Tournament 2022
Pune, 17 October 2022: Qualifier Saksham Bhansali created the first upset of the event as he knocked out eighth seeded Bala Vir Singh 6-4, 6-4 and enter the second round of the Boys event at the Vijendra Kulkarni Memorial – Fergusson College All India Ranking U-16 Tennis Tournament 2022 organized by Fergusson College under the auspices of the AITA, MSLTA, PMDTA and played at Fergusson College Tennis Courts
In other close first round matches Aditya Yadav edged out Aryna Ghadge 6-2, 7-6(7) , Anuj Tashildar quelled the challenge of Lucky Loser Devesh Wadhai 6-2, 0-6, 6-4 , Omkar Shinde carved out a credible 7-6(8), 6-4 win over Tamil Nadu’s Arnav Harishankar to also move into the second round . In the girls event Tamil Nadu’s Sahana Kamalakannan registered a 7-5, 6-2 win over Maharashtra’s Shravee Deore in the opening round
