Raigad: 23-Year-Old Man Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting A Minor Girl
Pen, 1st September 2026: A 23-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a14-year-old girl after allegedly luring her on an outing in Pen taluka of Maharashtra’s Raigad district, police said.
The accused has been identified as Vipul Patil (23). According to police, Patil was acquainted with the minor girl and allegedly took her to the Kasmal area of Borgaon on the pretext of an outing.
Police said the accused allegedly assaulted the girl and later threatened her with dire consequences, including death, according to the complaint.
Following the complaint, the Pen Police registered a case against the accused under relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and took him into custody.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
