Railway Employees Help Old Lady Passenger At Pune Station

Pune, 31st October 2022: Railway employees are always ready to help people with human and sympathy by being socially active along with their duty. Early help was given to an old, helpless woman by the social organization so that she reached her family again.

 

In the course of his duty at Pune station, Substation Manager Anilkumar Tiwari was informed by Railway guard William that an old woman was crying at platform number four. On this, Tiwari questioned the woman and she told him that her bag was stolen on the train. There was some cash, necessary papers and clothes. In the conversation, the old woman said she is a resident of Varanasi and has come out of the house alone due to a domestic dispute. After this, Inspector of Railway Protection Force B. s. Raghuvanshi, a social organization Saathi’s assistant Rekha Gaikwad and social worker Renu Tiwari, working in the spirit of philanthropy, with the help of GRP, handed over the old woman to Apna Ghar, a social organization based in Hinjewadi, which helps destitute women. The director of this organization is Rajiv Agarwal. The old lady was looked after by Apna Ghar for five days and she was given some cash on the arrival of her son and daughter-in-law to Pune, she handed over the old lady with a reserved journey ticket to Varanasi. The people thanked the railway and the social organization very much.

 

 

Divisional Railway Manager Renu Sharma and Additional Divisional Railway Manager Brijesh Kumar Singh have congratulated the railway employees for this philanthropic work.
